Silicon IT Systems is committed to making this website accessible to everyone, including people with disabilities. We build to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at Level AA, and we support the goals of the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA).

What we’ve done

This site was designed and built with accessibility in mind, including:

  • Semantic HTML structure with a logical heading order and one main heading per page
  • Full keyboard operability, with a visible focus indicator and a skip-to-content link
  • Colour contrast that meets WCAG 2.2 AA for text and interactive elements
  • Form fields with clear labels, and errors announced to assistive technology, not shown by colour alone
  • Respect for the “reduce motion” setting, so animations are minimised for those who prefer it
  • Descriptive alternative text for meaningful images, and decorative graphics hidden from screen readers
  • Responsive layouts that work across screen sizes and support zoom without loss of content

Ongoing commitment

Accessibility is a continuing effort, not a one-time task. We test with automated tools and keyboard navigation, and we work to fix issues as we find them or as they’re reported. As we add content and features, we aim to maintain our conformance.

Known limitations

Some third-party content, such as an embedded map, may not fully match our accessibility standards. Where we rely on third-party components, we choose accessible options where possible and provide alternative ways to get the same information — for example, our full address and contact details are always available as text.
