Networking built for dust, distance and downtime that costs money
Rugged industrial switching and full-coverage warehouse Wi-Fi for Ontario manufacturers and distribution centres — where an office network wouldn’t last a week.
The challenge
Office gear fails on a plant floor — usually at the worst time
Warehouses and factories are hard on equipment: temperature swings, dust, vibration, electrical noise and long distances between racks and devices. Scanners, cameras and machines all depend on coverage that reaches the far corners and the high racking. When the network drops, production and shipping stop — and that downtime has a dollar figure.
- Office switches failing in heat, dust and electrical noise
- Wi-Fi dead zones in high racking and far bays
- Scanners and devices dropping connection mid-shift
- Long cable runs and outdoor links that need real planning

What changes for you
A typical deployment
How it comes together
A typical industrial deployment uses hardened Aurcore PoE switching rated for the environment, an RF design that covers high racking, far bays and outdoor areas, a fibre backbone sized for the distances involved, and segmentation between operational technology, business IT and guest traffic. Monitoring is layered on so a degrading link is caught before it becomes a line stoppage.
Standards & compliance
The requirements we design around
OT/IT separation
We segment operational technology from business IT and guest networks, a foundational control for industrial environments.
Note: we deliver the technical controls that support these standards. Formal certification and legal compliance remain your organisation’s responsibility — we’re glad to work alongside your compliance advisors.
FAQ
Manufacturing & Warehouse IT — your questions
Why can’t we just use regular office switches?
Because a plant floor will kill them. Industrial switches like Aurcore are built for temperature extremes, dust, vibration and electrical noise. On the floor, that ruggedness is the difference between uptime and an unplanned truck roll. We explain the specifics in our industrial PoE guide.
Can you get Wi-Fi into the high racking and far corners?
Yes — that’s what the RF site survey is for. We plan coverage for the real layout, including high racking, distant bays and outdoor yard areas, so scanners and devices stay connected everywhere they’re used.
How do you handle the distances in a big facility?
With a fibre backbone sized for the distances and PoE switching placed to reach the edge devices. Large facilities need the network designed around the building, not retrofitted with more access points.
Can you separate our machines from the office network?
Yes. We segment operational technology from business IT and guest traffic, which improves both reliability and security on the floor.
